The final shot of my JBL spot. All the extras were huddled around our hero after he won the game match—it was the big, high-energy moment of the video. Before the shoot, I did a deep dive on our hero, Clix, a massive Fortnite streamer, to get a sense of his personality and how he reacts to things. I wanted to inject a bit of his humor into that last scene, so I asked for a bowl of popcorn to get slapped out of one of the extras’ hands. The second it exploded everywhere, the whole crew cracked up. That little comedic touch ended up being the perfect button to the spot.
A private chef. I’ve loved cooking since my early teens and have worked in almost every section of a restaurant—bussing, food expo, bartending, even slinging pizzas. Food has always been a passion of mine. After seeing the grind of restaurant life up close, I think the intimacy and craft of being a private chef feels like the dream lane.
Interstellar. No matter how many times I watch it, it still gives me chills. MURPHHHH!
Adidas Running or Asics. I love how both merge streetwear with activewear and lean into a gritty, edgy marketing style—it’s by far my favorite aesthetic in the space.
Any kind of mounted or POV rig—head rigs, Snorri, car mounts. I love the energy and immersion they give.
Probably my early 20s. Back then I had no direction—working restaurant jobs, bouncing in and out of college, partying a lot, and leaning on substances. It was a dark, aimless time. But picking up a camera changed everything. Ironically, it started with a friend I met at a festival while partying. Photography gave me purpose, which eventually led me to filmmaking. Looking back, it feels like the moment my story really began.
