PARAGON Steps Into Its Future

A MILESTONE IN OUR JOURNEY
When I founded PARAGON in early 2020, it was little more than a camera, a laptop, and a drive to build something from the ground up. What began as a scrappy side project steadily grew into a production company known for its care for the craft and for its people.
Now, as we mark our fifth year, the moment feels bigger than an anniversary. It has me looking back at how far we’ve come, and forward to where we’re headed next. From the very beginning, my goal was simple: raise the standard of what production could feel like for clients and for the people behind the camera. That goal has never changed, but the scale of it has.

NEW TITLES, OLD FACES
Some milestones are about new beginnings. Others are about recognizing what has been there all along. Jacob Nobbe and I have been friends for years. We’ve collaborated, dreamed, and built alongside each other long before PARAGON took shape in its current form. We’ve PA’d together, come to set as a DP and AC duo, or worked as a Director and Producer team. We’ve done it all.
This year, as we celebrate five years of PARAGON, Jacob formally steps in as Partner and Head of Production. His role is not just about a title. It is about strengthening the foundation we’ve been building since the start: a company where big ideas meet real collaboration, and where the process matters as much as the outcome.

NEW FACES, OLD ETHOS
One of the clearest signs of our growth is the people standing with us. As PARAGON evolves, we’ve been intentional about how we expand the team. New directors and collaborators bring perspective, technical excellence, and ambition that will define the next chapter.
This year, we are introducing a fresh roster of directors, a group united by the same drive to push work forward and deliver at the highest level. Recent projects, like Playing in the Dark with director Bailen Estrada, show what can happen when the right talent has the right support.
What excites me most is not only the projects we have already completed but the potential of what comes next. These directors and collaborators are shaping the future of PARAGON and the work we will create in the years ahead.

LOOKING AHEAD
Five years in, we are proud of what PARAGON has become, but we are even more energized by where it is going. Our focus is on building lasting partnerships, elevating the creative standard, and creating an environment where people feel cared for in the process as much as they are proud of the final work.
The next chapter is about growth with purpose. Bigger projects, bolder ideas, and stronger relationships. This milestone is not a finish line. It is a launch point for everything still to come.
